well, I just tried three sites and all get rejected with your new name, can't see a way to search for you just using ID number. I thought I'd found a post or pm under your old name but not now. You could send me your email by pm and I'll try a reply that way if you want.

Chris, just click on his new name, then click on send PM. In the address box remove everything but the user number. Should work.

The issue is the comma in his name. PM takes that as the next user number/name.

Thanks are due to Gary who solved the problem, just removing the name and leaving the ID number works.

The moral of the story is DON'T use commas in your user name. Although one might reasonably expect that after nearly 20 years the PM system would be sophisticated enough to cope with that*

* Memo to self : This is Seti silly, you're lucky anything works these days.

Well, what delimiter would you prefer, semicolon? Outlook does the same.

None at all. Why can't the PM system do what I did manually i.e. ignore everything after the ID number? Ye gods, even Basic could add 19 in front of a two digit year until 2000.

123456789 so Chris is that a PM to users 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9? Or is it users 12345 and 6789? Or user 123456789? Even humans need delimiters! Why did we invent periods, commas, colons, semicolons and the like?

Basic did not add 19 to years, it didn't even know the number was a year. Basic does not have a date format!

Microsoft Outlook is a personal information manager from Microsoft, available as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. Although often used mainly as an email application, it also includes a calendar, task manager, contact manager, note taking, journal, and web browsing.

It's just M$ bloatware for emails, nothing to do with PM's.

Code is reused everywhere. An address entry box is an address entry box.

And I wonder why we only crunch Arecibo nowadays here, and never any blc work?

I'm confused this week:
On Monday I was not in work, but working at a funeral, which made Tuesday at work virtual Monday.
Which made Wednesday virtual Tuesday, Wednesday and Humpday
So Thursday is virtual Wednesday, which should make it Humpday, Thursday, but I've got a hospital appointment all day tomorrow, which makes Thursday the last day of the working week, which of course is Friday and POETS day, but tomorrow is Friday not Saturday, unless of course I define tomorrow as Virtual Saturday........


Thus there is a bit of "Good News" - this week has two Saturdays :-)
