Surprise day off for me, did the cleaning. Might do some shopping next.

This Monday is a thrill a minute.

Lunch consumed, so let's see if this afternoon is any more thrilling than this morning was

I'm hoping for a less eventful afternoon. My day did not start well - couldn't find my glasses in my bag. Searched all the pockets, checked around the desk to see if I had left them here on Friday, no such luck so home I went.

As I turned into my road, my brain started working and I realised I hadn't touched my work bag over the weekend so the glasses should really be in there. Then I remembered that after I finished work on Friday, I'd put the bag in my boot whilst I nipped to Tesco. Pulled onto the drive, checked the boot and there were the glasses!

Drove back to work to be met by someone reporting a fault logging into their phone. I logged out of my phone to test and discovered it wasn't the usual PICNIC (or PICNIT I suppose in this instance), it was a bigger fault that meant no-one could log into their extensions. I had to go and find another phone that hadn't been logged out so that I could call our support engineers - 30 minutes later all fixed.

Oops, spoke too soon. Looks like it's gone wrong again :-( Better go ...

The "kerplocks" were in full action on the way home tonight. Very minor bump and they shut two lanes at the critical point of M42 J9, and then the inevitable big one in the resultant tailback. So round the accident onto the troll road and ££ss too many to get off it again, but rather that than the mile of sitting breathing truck fumes....

A sneaky pre-outrage post.

Weather like this I cope with - hasn't quite put us in melting mode at work :-)

Best I could find:

If Susie lanches her cakes around the world like that she must have an arm like Popeye :)

LOL :)

You may be pleased to know that the weather has co-operated and today has been a baking day - ie not so hot that the last place I want to be is in a kitchen with a hot oven.

Carrot cake just out of the oven, short while to cool and then I can ice it and despatch it.

I shan't reveal my launch method but it doesn't require any spinach :-D

BTW where does the 8th bit of cake go??
