As the rain held off long enough for my hours walk today, that is a bit of a win.

The rain made it a rather grim journey up to Leeds to help bring my nephew's stuff back from Uni. What with the sometimes torrential rain, the lorries and the spray I needed faster wipers :)

Much better trip back with only a couple of downpours to contend with. Glad it's not me who has to find a home for his two cars worth of belongings though!

Think we're due for 24 hours without rain now which is a relief :-)

Ah, the joys of the end of year Whacky Races. How I miss seeing dad & mum turn up in their cars, load them up with their sprogs stuff, then all three cars would head off into the sunset..... (I forgot to say that the student's car was already stuffed solid)

Sort of winning, about to set off into the rain, to teach over 60's how to use their iPhones and iPads ;-)

Hooray! It's weekend drinking time! :)
Mists of dreams drip along the nascent echo, and love no more.

End of line.

This weekend was a repeat of the previous one, just more successful.

Had the concealed cistern apart again, this time without having to dismantle the bathroom, and fixed the long-flush function - yes, I did do that last week but it stopped working about 36 hours later. No bins of rubbish to kick down the stairs and, even better, it was still working this morning :-D

Yesterday I had another go at dismantling a garden bench, to make stripping the awful green paint off a bit easier. This time it didn't fight back and I've managed to remove all the slats. I know what I'm going to be doing this evening if the weather holds ... :-)
