Lunchtime pints you say? :) Mists of dreams drip along the nascent echo, and love no more. End of line. Bad news travels faster than the speed of light, good news never leaves the room. |

Winning on a damp Referendum day. Least it isn't actually raining at the moment. |

The sun is already out, it's going to be a very warm day. Mists of dreams drip along the nascent echo, and love no more. End of line. Bad news travels faster than the speed of light, good news never leaves the room. |

Winning. I heard Londoners are having to swim to the polling stations. Do you think the voting paper is waterproof? A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

The whole world isn;t winning. I think this sums it up : https://twitter.com/sigmargabriel/status/746195999962476552 @Bernie sorry about the cat - hope it is better soon. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

Bernie, hope your cat improved overnight. Not a good way to start the downhill slide into the weekend :-( |

Well unfortunately she has not been well for a while. Diagnosed with a inoperable tumour behind her left eye. I am taking her to the vet later today. I fear I will not bring her home. |

Apologies for the double post but no-one's posted since Friday and I needed to vent :-) I've come back at work for a rest. Saturday was spent trying to fix a leaking toilet cistern that involved virtually dismantling the bathroom, even had to remove the bathroom door to gain a bit more room. Concealed cisterns may look nice but, when they need to be lifted off and are fitted right up to the bottom of the counter top, which is itself tiled in, they become a nightmare to repair. Went through several plans of action until we got to Plan E or F - moving the toilet - which was easier said than done as it had been stuck to the tiled floor with almost indestructible silicon. Took all day but we eventually ended up with a toilet that doesn't leak and have also fixed the non-functioning long flush function. The relief of success was soon gone though as we then had to put right all we'd done trying to get at the cistern by removing the counter top. The day was topped off by the bin of sawdust and silicon bits being kicked down the stairs, the hoover emptying itself on the bottom step and then activating the auto cut-off when trying to re-hoover up the mess. Had to laugh or I would have I locked myself away in a darkened room and sobbed hysterically ... As for the job I was trying to do yesterday - suffice it to say I gave up and went off to visit my sister instead :-) |

Winning. I heard Londoners are having to swim to the polling stations. Do you think the voting paper is waterproof? Not sure. However my postal vote papers were sitting on my doormat when I got back from hols - AFTER the result had been declared. |

Well after the last few days I am trying to get back to some form of normal life. I just wanted to relax and watch a few trains and my favourite railcam site is still down after an 18 hour power outage!! Still not winning :-) |

Thanks Susie, not exactly relaxing, but it certainly cleared all thoughts of w**k out of my head for two weeks :-) |
