Hello I was just wondering if there is some issue with Boinc and android 5.1 my new phone(LG G4) has 6 cores but when I go into preferences and try to change the how many cores it uses I am having trouble it uses 3 just fine if I try to set it for 4 it goes back to 3 if I set it for 5 it runs fine(G4 gets HOT running 5 so I do not do it)but again if I try to set it for 4 it does the same thing and goes back to 3. Thanks for any help. P.S. would it be possible to add my beta account to boinc manager so I can view all of my info with 1 interface??

Probably this happens because the G4 has a big.LITTLE architecture (2 cores that work in normal conditions and 4 that help when an app needs more power). I think that you should write an e-mail to the BOINC developers, not to SETI ones, because it's a problem of the app that is not optimazed for this devices. And as regards the heat, you should not use too much cores because that heat could ruin the circuits and the camera. I have a Nexus 7 2013 (4 cores at 1.5 GHz) and I can use 3 cores only when the temperature is below 10-15 degrees because it overheats (and also because with too much cores it doesn't recharge :P).
