Just wanted to know if there isa a way to get the same CPID for beta so I can have only 1 stats banner in my signature(seti@home is on my computers beta is on my phone which seem to be running faster since I let started letting it use all 4 cores) but I would like to have only 1 stats banner. Thanks.

If both accounts have the same email address then they should combine on stats sites. Of course there will be one line entry per project and beta and main are separate projects.

Both accounts do have the same e-mail but I have a totally different cpid and user id on beta. I think??? that I signed-up for beta straight from my cell phone maybe that has something to do with it. Thanks.

You need to have at least one device which is attached to both the projects you want to align the CPIDs for.

Thank you I will have to see what I want to do about this. can you run beta on a regular computer or is it only set up to run on mobile device's? If you can I do have 1 computer that is a dual core so I would not be taking that much of a hit to switch it to beta and also I am planning to get a new graphics card(the old one will go in 1 of my other computers) so I would only be losing 1 work unit in the exchange. Thanks again.

Adding Beta to your dual core won't lose any work unit, BOINC is designed to cooperatively run many projects. I presume that's your host 7282196 at the main project, and there are app versions here to run both SaHv7 and APv7 tasks on that system.

When you add Beta, BOINC will ask for 1 second of work so you'll get 1 task and the needed executables, etc. to do it. If you are quick you could set No New Tasks for the project and not get any more. In order to have the CPID fixup it's not really necessary to be doing work for both projects, just having both on the host is the requirement. It's the Scheduler contacts which share the information, so an Update of a project with NNT set is enough.

I don't mean to discourage you from doing Beta work, of course. Getting revised app versions tested enough to be released to main is very worthwhile IMO. And if you're interested in credits, it seems to me that Beta tasks tend to get a little more credit than similar tasks at the main project.

Thank you for your help hopefully I can give this a try in the next couple of days(my work schedule has been messed up the past week)I have no plans to stop Beta on my phone but if I can get a new Gpu for my main system I will probably let Beta run all the time on the dual core for any extra help it can give to the project. As for credit I just enjoy the feeling I get from helping a scientific project especially seti since it is very close to my heart. Sorry for the slow response time I do not have a profile set-up on the Beta site yet. Thanks again for your help.
