I am unable to run Astropulse work units on my two Windows XP 32 bit computers. All files needed are downloaded but one is incorrect, crashing work unit before it starts. [ERROR] File ap_graphics_6.01_windows_intelx86.exe has wrong size: expected 307200, got 24218. [ERROR] Checksum or Signature Error for ap_graphics_6.01_windows_intelx86.exe I don't use graphics but this is obviously a needed file, however Resetting or Detaching and Re-attaching has not worked. Each time the smaller file is downloaded from the Seti-Beta site and not the one the application is expecting. Can I download the ap_graphic file separately and install it into the project folder? Perhaps that will work? My Linux computers have no trouble getting and running AstroPulse work units. Also normal SETI_v7 work units run fine on the Windows hosts just not AstroPulse. Conan |

You can download the file manually, the url is in your client_state.xml, Edit: It is: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/ap_graphics_6.01_windows_intelx86.exe Best way to do it is download it, set NNT at Beta, copy any good files from the Beta project to somewhere safe, reset the project, restore those good files and the ap_graphics file, then unset NNT and ask for work, Boinc will skip any downloads that are already present. Check that your antivirus solution or download manager isn't messing with the file or download. I've just downloaded the file manually from http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/ap_graphics_6.01_windows_intelx86.exe and got a file of the expected 307,200 bytes. You could click that link, check that the file you download is complete, and - assuming that it is - copy it manually into the Beta project directory. That should get you running again. The first part of that url - http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/ - will be the same for any other files that BOINC complains about, if the problem happens again further down the track. |

Thanks for that Claggy and Richard, I will give it a go and see what happens. Conan |
