all fail It means 6.06 still has VLAR-related bug. And ARs that affected span from really low values to ~0.1 News about SETI opt app releases: https://twitter.com/Raistmer |

I used to get batches of 10 that would all fail after 17 seconds. I tried resetting the project and it seems to work again. It doesn't even run on high priority anymore. |

Probably because resetting also resets the DCF back to default value of 1.0. If that is the case it may go back to priority (AKA EDF or Panic) mode after first unit has completed. |

I can only add a similar error report for 6.06: I received today ten workunits together with the new app setiathome_6.06_windows_intelx86__cuda.exe. The first two workunits were finished after a few seconds with exit code 1 (0x1) according to BoincView (they are still in the upload queue and not sent to / received by the server). 23.12.2008 12:00:34|SETI@home Beta Test|Starting task 03no08aa.21798.266461.11.11.207_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 606 23.12.2008 12:01:14|SETI@home Beta Test|Computation for task 03no08aa.21798.266461.11.11.207_0 finished 23.12.2008 12:01:14|SETI@home Beta Test|Starting 03no08aa.21798.266461.11.11.107_0 23.12.2008 12:01:14|SETI@home Beta Test|Starting task 03no08aa.21798.266461.11.11.107_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 606 23.12.2008 12:01:16|SETI@home Beta Test|Started upload of 03no08aa.21798.266461.11.11.207_0_0 23.12.2008 12:01:28|SETI@home Beta Test|[error] Error reported by file upload server: can't open file 23.12.2008 12:01:28|SETI@home Beta Test|Temporarily failed upload of 03no08aa.21798.266461.11.11.207_0_0: transient upload error 23.12.2008 12:01:28|SETI@home Beta Test|Backing off 1 min 0 sec on upload of 03no08aa.21798.266461.11.11.207_0_0 The third workunits is now still running, but:

After the Tuesday outage I could upload. The two workunits, which were finished within a few seconds (mentioned in the previous post), are now shown in the task details with a "SETI@Home Informational message -9 result_overflow, NOTE: The number of results detected exceeds the storage space allocated." - message. Hmmm... resultid=5047863 resultid=5047763 The other finished workunits appear to be fine according to the task details so far, however, there's no validation until now and please remember the strange behaviour described in my previous post. Additional note: I noticed now that I can raise the GPU clock to the normal 3D-mode levels when starting CUDA-Z. As a result there is also some CPU usage by setiathome_6.06_windows_intelx86__cuda.exe in the Windows taskmanager, approx. ~ 1 %. Odd. This should be triggered by the CUDA application itself, shouldn't it? I don't really know what is going on here, but there is some kind of problem with 6.06. Regards Alex ... and Merry Christmas to y'all !! ![]() |

More VLAR errors. Once they get to about 20-21% they either error out right away, or they get stuck and won't run no matter what and have to be aborted. Typical sparkly screen but no BSOD's so far. 5054103 5054124 5054133 5054148 5054159 5054162 5054169 5054165 5054170 5054171 5055105 5055107 5055113 5055122 5055127 And four completed successfully 5052678 5052701 5052768 5052893 |

Few more VLAR to add. Same thing. No BSoD, No freeze or reboot, just task compute error or have to abort. Not running in high priority since using 6.06. Even the sparkle effect has diminished. 5055129 5055140 5055146 5055244 4 completed 5055062 5054965 5055445 5055446 AMD 64 3800+ XP Home SP2 Driver 180.60 |

I returned a task earlier today and the granted credit was zero, yet when I cliecked on the WU ID for more details it says it was suppressed until completed. WU ID #1577432 (Task ID if that makes it easier is #5117653, I run Windows XP using BOINC v6.2.19. Ni |

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/result.php?resultid=5030691 Look at the Workunit page, notice that no canonical result has been chosen yet, so no credit can be granted. Disregard the "Valid" indication on Task detail pages, it is now meaningless but we hope someone will fix that sometime. Joe |
