• Measured from 21-cm radiation of cold Hydrogen (Doppler shift)

• Mass within radius r (distance from center)

  • M(r) = v2(r) x r / G
  • Just a statement of law of orbits/ gravity
  • Moving faster => more mass inside

• If the mass does not change as you increase the radius, v must DECREASE!
