Finding the Center

Bright Star distribution: uniform in all directions => at center
- BUT ISM is limiting how far we can see! So this isn’t reliable (street light in fog analogy)
Globular Cluster distribution: concentrated in one direction => We are not at center
- Assume GCs are gravitationally bound about the center
- Old OH 62 shows the direction of the center
