I live in a rural area of Wisconsin south of the city of Superior. I am an assessor working for a local unit of county government where I value real estate for tax purposes. I enjoy gardening and am currently trying to establish a small fruit orchard if the wildlife in my area will permit me. Besides this I am a beekeeper.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I have an interest in astronomy and honestly believe that one day the phone will ring and ET will be calling so we better be ready. Humanity cannot be a fluke considering the vastness of the cosmos. There are definately "others" out there; but considering the distances we just have to be patient. I admire the dedication of Frank Drake et.al. and think the entire project is a noble one. Who knows, maybe the telephone call from ET will be to tell us how to cure the common cold!
