I think that life exists beyond our planet. I think that we have already made contact, because our technology has advanced so quickly. The dangers range from one goverment having too much advanced technology over another goverment to unknown diseases (think Smallpox and the Native Americans).
If we send a beacon, I think it should contain the bareist of info - "Hello we're HERE - call us if you want to talk to us". Because if we send too much info, it could be used against us.
I run Seti@home because I enjoy being a part of the scientific community. I
believe that with all the people who have run Seti@home, we will find life out there. |
