Personal background
As a young boy I started staring at the night sky for many many hours. I was in a bad place as a child and a teen. The night sky was my refuge and physical connection to a comforting dream of hope for the future. Where the world that surrounded me in my youth told me was I was no good. The universe told me I came from a beautiful place. Hence, my love for the universe that has only grown with time.

I also enjoy reading lots of books, camping and fishing. I am always in awe of every new discovery. It is a perfect happiness to see or read about something new in astronomy.

I don't like talking much. I prefer to listen and ask questions if necessary.

I do not want a house or a car or anything when I grow old. I just want myself, a simple shelter and a telescope.

I know that there is more to the universe than what present information/facts that we have. It a wonderful thing that the universe is so full of information. More than we can process in a forever. It is one grand adventure and we are on one small path.

To be with others who see and know the same magic that I feel at the wonders of the night sky is a great privilege.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
oh my. I think I already answered that :) I am too new to have suggestions. Oh wait yes I do have a suggestion. I was reading some forum stuff. You should consider a boxing forum/message board for angry users and a religious forum/message board for religious people. It isn't a cure. But it may help.
