Profile: Chainworm

Personal background
Hi there, my name is Pascal, In november 2013 I'll turn 30 and I'm living in a small village in south west Germany.

My hobbies are mainly computer stuff (playing games, making websites, level design). I'm also visiting the outside world on a regular base to take photos - I'm mainly interested in old buildings, factories and other old and abandoned stuff (commonly known as "urban exploring"), but I also do this in the woods and mountains in the area where I live. There are also a lot of old castles down here which I'm really interested in.

Mostly I listen to metal and grindcore, but I also love hardcore, a lot of (old school) hip hop and some electro stuff.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've read about Seti@Home in the german magazine "SPACE", which contained an interesting article about the search for extra terrestrial signals. My computer runs almost all the time when I'm at home, and sometimes it just runs without me using it (mostly it plays just music), so why not share the unused resources with a science project like Seti?

I'm very interested in space, and of course I'm always curious if there's more life out there than just life on earth? Well, actually there's no doubt for me that there is SOME kind of other life out there, but is there also intelligent life? Maybe Seti is a way to find out, so I want to share at least some of my resources to help find out. And maybe some day we'll get an answer. It's very exciting to participate in such a project!
