Profile: Kristian Hansen

Personal background
I am Kristian, from Kristin School. I like playing video games (mainly Halo), but on top of everything, I love computer programming, and science. I am in college at the moment, but hope to go to MIT in Boston to get a doctorate in computer programming, and physics. I am a true believer that extraterrestrial life exists, which is what started my interest in this project. I believe it because it would be a very depressing fact if we were the only ones in the galaxy (or universe).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I am a huge believer that intelligent life exists on other planets, and want to do anything I can to aid the discovery of this, and to get peace of mind. I think that the idea of distributed computing for a task like this is quite a creative, and great idea. I chose to participate in this task because a) I have an advanced computer, perfect for mass computing. b)I am a huge believer in extraterrestrial life, and really hope it exists (and they are not hostile), and c) I want to contribute my resources and time to an important scientific field, and hopefully soon, a discovery.
