Personal background
I grew up in New York state and for the last 15 years reside in the Pocono Mountains. I'm a retired Physician Assistant.
My hobbies are photography, hunting and surf fishing the Eastern Seaboard. Favorite places to fish are Montauk Long Island, Cape Cod canal, the Jersey Shore or anywhere on Rhode Island. I enjoy almost all sports, foreign films, auctions and anything Seti related. I love the Mufon programs and unexplained phenomenon. Favorite subjects are science - especially physics and histology, poetry and Art.
I am absolutely awed by the vastness of space.
I do feel comfortable with others who are likeminded in the search for LGM.

Yes that's a Marlin 35 caliber lever action.

“How inappropriate to call this planet "Earth," when it is clearly "Ocean.”
Arthur C. Clark

A few quotes from Steven Hawking

We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special.

If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn't turn out well for the Native Americans. … We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet.

To confine our attention to terrestrial matters would be to limit the human spirit.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I want to be involved with something like this. It would be mind boggling if we ever intercept a signal.
Might as well put these laptops to good use. My desktop is likely to overheat so I'll leave it alone for now. I took the side cover off so many times Im not sure if the fan is in place. Its old and cranky like me.

Will they be carbon based, inorganic or will it even matter? Will they fly, float, locomote, slither, infect, swim, ride, drive, sail, appear, evolve, evaporate, condensate, harmonize, yell, whisper? Communicate via telesthetics? Will they be benevolent, altruistic, hungry, evil, have different biomolecules, inorganic dna or xna? We know it will be weird. For sure.
