Personal background
I enjoy learning foreign languages. I am learning Japanese and Korean language from audio lessons on CD. I am RKESA at SETILive and alanarqueza at SpaceWarps.org. Recently radio communication and Internet technology inspire me.

The 3D map of the galaxy from the Disney animated film 'Treasure Planet' intrigued my interest in MilkyWay@BOINC yesterday afternoon.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe there is an advanced civilization somewhere outside of our galaxy. The pyramids of Ancient Egypt and the iconic winged disc. Christopher Columbus journeyed the oceans to find America. The Utsuro Bune UFO incident of Japan in the Year 1803 and the folklore of the Tanabata festival. The Phoenix Lights of 1997 and JAL 1628 UFO encounter of 1986 inspire me to believe advance human civilizations exist. I enjoy volunteering my computer time at SETI@Home. The technology of Silicon Valley and MIT motivate and inspire me, and the NASA Magnetospheric Multiscale Mission to research the hidden portals from Earth.

I believe the SETI project will continue to advance the makings of astronomy research technology.

I suggest there should be more technical information at SETI that is easy to understand so I can easily learn how to read electronic schematics, technical terms and math related workings. Tutorials and video learning systems on how to program, build, and understand the precision and workings of a radio telescope and Optical SETI.
