Personal background

Designer of the current SETI@home logo (back when I was still in art school!), I now work as a web developer/designer for the Space Foundation as part of an internal marketing team. With SETI@home running on idle time, I feel that idly crunching numbers for the SETI project aligns with the Space Foundation's mission: To advance space-related endeavors to inspire, enable and propel humanity.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why run SETI@home?
There's a lot of data to process on a very small budget! Given the opportunity to donate some mild processing power to the project, I feel honored to help SETI scan the sky, making the unknown more known.

Project Views
Aliens? While hopeful, I'll believe it when I meet aliens in person... but how can we hope to meet otherworldly beings if we don't listen and look to the sky? I think it's great that SETI is scanning for extra terrestrial intelligence, killer asteroids and pulsars. There's so much to see and hear out there and SETI is a big part of that.

Suggestions
Update the Seti@home branding and website. It's been the same for 10+ years (that's about 200 in website years), 57 in cat years, not that it matters...
