Running BOINC on two of the computers at home

1 x Hexacore machine at 50% CPU

Running BOINC with 50/50 split between SETI and LHC@home

Though LHC is often static these days grrr.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Space seems to be too quiet when logic determines that there must surely be thousands of civilisations out there.

Maybe they don't communicate through RF / Electromagnetic spectrum because it's too slow through the immense distances in space.

Here on earth, we gave up postal delivery by horse a long time ago but at the time we never contemplated being able to webcam with someone live, on the other side of the planet.

Some kind of quantum / wormhole comms system maybe? Who knows.

Let's keep thinking outside the box and looking.
