Profile: StarDruid

Personal background
I'm 31 as of this profile being written. Gone though a few handles over the years, DruidoftheStars here, StarDruid, StarTrek-Man, Ken-Ohki, Miah-Ohki else where. Primarily StarDruid, Miah-Ohki, and MiahTwilight(or just Miah) over the few past years.

Been on the Wired (internet) since dial-up and windows 3.1. Grew up playing games like Stars!, and other Windows 3.1 games. Then games like Quake on Windows 95. Also spent much of my life chat and surfing the web, from L'Hotel and Geocities HTML based chats to IRC. Hand quite a few homepages through the years, original ones on Geocities, Tripod, and Angelfire. Then moved to host one on my own computer, finally to the current gentlerainofserenity.com and shadowcontinuum.com.

Mainly as hobbies I watch Japanese animation, play video games, host a minecraft server, with some work on webpages and modding games/my computer as well.

Still pursuing degree, main a basic bachelors so I can teach English as a secondary language overseas. Plan to use the money to payback my student loans then get a Video Game Art Degree.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Ran SETI@home classic in the past since they project needed help back then. Now I start help again for the same reason.

Frankly all the space centered research are underfunded and under-supported as hell. Whether it's search for Extra Terrestial Life, or the latest space station design, Space really is mankind hope for a future. When you get down to it, our current population is to big for our planet to handle. When to look for a future solution in space now, not 10, 20, 50, 100 years for now. Bases need to be made on the moon as step stone to space, Mars will need to be terraformed (even if it takes hundreds of years) to give us another world to live one, all of this to further mankind expansion into space.

Sadly all my suggestions relate to robotic armies and world conquest, so really aren't feasible :P
