| Hi, I'm a 54 yr old travel agency manager living in Honolulu, HI. I have always been interested in astronomy and the possibility of communicating with "ET". I think that it would be the best thing that could ever happen to our planet! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I think that the SETI project is very forward thinking project and the SETI@home project is a great experiment in shared processing. I run SETI@home because I want to be part of that experiment. It allows me to contribute in some small part where I would otherwise not be able to have any input.
I believe that extraterrestril life exists. It is unthinkable that we are the only intelligent life in the cosmos. If they are more advanced than we are scientifically, they will find us. The benefits to us would be a shortcut to developing advanced technology, if in no other way than in knowing for sure that it is possible. The dangers are many, but hopefully we can manage them. |
