Profile: Jason Saltis

Personal background
Hi crunchers, Jason Saltis here. I'm 32 years old. Originally from Lima, Ohio , I now live in New Paltz NY. I own a mobile computer repair business and used to have a computer store as well. Currently I am the office manager during the day for a friend's glazing contracting business and still repair computers in the evening. When home i split my time between gardening, gaming (MMO's and FPS) and doing research into the various crazy ideas that pop into my head. A former cruncher from a year ago, I crunched my old computer to an early grave (Core 2 Duo E6550)and since then dont remember the account details to log back into it with this new machine (AMD FX 8120 - 3.1Ghz 8 Core, HD Radeon 6850 1GB) and thus far the numbers look good. The only time im not crunching is when im logged into an MMO making money. It's good to be back and looking forward to crunching a ton , accurately :P
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. To find the proverbial needle in a haystack. To find the one signal everyone else is looking for. Plus a small amount of competition keeps everyone young.

2. The project gets bigger and better every year. When I originally downloaded the client, early 2000's if I remember right, there was only one project, Seti@home , since then we have a ton of projects with people all over the world donating valuable processing time. The raw processing power of a single project, let alone all together, is both awe inspiring and overwhelming to comprehend.

3. Suggestions? um, keep it up?!
