Personal background |
Elderly retired female from Michigan. Love gardening and wild life.
I have always been interested in how the Universe works and I faithfully watch any programs on TV related to this subject.
I personally feel that there are huge amounts of star systems that support intelligent life far beyond our capabilities in our galaxy alone.
I would jump up and down with joy to be honored to shake one of their hands, claw, paws or what ever. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. I run SETI@home because I want to be part of the community that finds the first intelligent signals from a far off star system. I also want to add to the man power to make this happen sooner. Every little bite helps.
2. I think the project is a great idea, what could possibly be a cheaper way to collect data that by millions of volanteers using their own computers.
3. A welcome letter, and perhaps an outline on how things work such as explaining why at times "no tasks running" is on the screen even though I am not using my computer. What it means when a task is completed and it say inconclusive etc. |
