I'll admit I spent too much time on social media. That's a bad habit I picked up on while recovering from serious illnesses.
Always optimistic about life, the future, and very grateful.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run SETI@home to be able to contribute some spare processor horsepower to a worthwhile project.
2. I believe in SETI projects since I think it's the height of arrogance to think that we humans, with our limited scope of senses, are the only intelligent life in the Universe. Think of our very narrow band of visual perception and range of hearing for two examples of how narrow our senses are. Then, compare that to how other life on Earth has evolved very differently from humans. There are wide ranges of life forms right here on our home planet, why not other worlds?
3. Get the word out. Much to the amusement of friends and family, I post articles about SETI on facebook, and I often provide a link to the home pages of my projects to show that they're legit and that they can also participate.
