I think this is a great ideal to use personal computers to check signals from outerspace to see if there are any intelligent signals coming from somewhere other than Earth.We can process so much more data with millions of computers instead of the few that SETI has.I hope that my contribution to this cause will make a difference.
I am a 44 year old male that loves to play first person games(like Doom,Quake,Hexen,ect.),and loves to fly radio controlled aircraft.My computer has kept me entertained for years.My first computer was a 486 with a SX33 CPU chip with 4 megs of ram!Now the sky is the limit to what computing power that can be obtained. I'm probably still considered a little medieval with a computer that has a pentium2 350CPU chip with 350 megs of ram, but it gets the job done.I have been a construction electrician for almost 20 years and I like the satifaction of fixing peoples elect. problems and wiring new structures for satisfied customers.In closing I hope someday we will contact peaceful beings from other worlds and maybe be able to visit their world for the ultimate vacation! |
