Personal background
Hi! I am Fergus Fromwalking, webdesigner and fulltime internet explorer (www.fromwalking.com). My home country is the Netherlands, Europe. I'm born in 1971 so count my age yourself. I am very interested in this extraterestrial stuff.
Here's a short biography about the designer/owner of fromwalking.com
He is a good listener. Likes to sit and chat about almost anything, but seldom talks much about himself. Only with examples or trustee events he slips a few details. He likes animals, preferably cats and is most found of his white Ghost. His parents have given birth to him in Eindhoven, Netherlands. His family moved to Belgium in the early 80's, so he actually grew up there. This is where his interest for cars was born;
The High-school period was spend in Antwerp and he witnessed a few years of University too. The European University based also in Antwerp. He had a good time there, spending his parents money. Had his own apartment, beautifully decorated by Mr. Fromwalking himself. The membership to the Fobasc Student club and of course one party after the other.
After college he moved to the Netherlands to join the Army. After a year his time was due so he started to look for a job.
Eventually he went working for his father's consortium.
From office-manager to partner. From office re-organisation to database-programming (FileMakerPro). The base of this business was eventually not his cup of tea; he always used to compare it with Price Waterhouse & Cooper, but smaller. Tax-deductions, overseas trustee constructions, financial planning for clients (mostly smaller companies).
Still owns some stock but after some disagreements and misunderstandings he couldn't handle the stress so left the company and went to Aruba.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. At first I think the universe is so big that a possibility of non excistance of other life forms then on earth is hard to believe for me. If, or when we find extraterrestrial life, in any form, we might exchange knowlegde and technologies with it. Perhaps we might accoire a stable communication method and trade recources. The possibility of danger lies in the suspision that is typically human. Of course one never knows whats in an other 'mans' mind.

2. The method to anker a beacon has been used ever since we had the technology to go in space. The information should contain the entire encyclopedie briticana and some pictures of humans, buildings, nature and landmarks with explanation.

3. I run SETI@home because I want to contribute in the search of the entire project. It's very smart of the people at SETI@home to make this possibility as it is. At this time I haven't got any suggestions for you.
