Hi All,
I'm Darren and I work for the Science and Technology Facilities Council in the UK (it used to be PPARC and CCLRC) and fully support SETI, it's amazing in what we are all trying to achieve and recommend this to anyone!! :)
The future of the Human Race lies in space exploration and the discovery of Alien life is inevitable, we are at the forefront of that exploration in as little or as large as we are each possibly able to do and I am proud to be able to do my part for SETI and the Human Race :)

I run the SETI for one purpose alone, I fully believe that it is impossible for the Human Race to be the only intelligent life form in the Universe and it is inevitable that we will encounter other life forms soon and especially as our Deep Space Exploration increases to a level where we are able to send people to planets further away than the Moon.
I work for the UK Science and Technology Facilities Council (was PPARC and CCLRC) and have supported SETI for many years and always been very interested in reading information on the Web and Newsletters etc, I guess this is partly why I ended up working here, so for that thank you ;)
SETI must continue and needs to for so many reasons but we must do something to explore space as if we don't the Human Race is doomed, the planet can only sustain us for so long and to survive we may need the help of others who could have gone through the same process already and may be able to help us learn how to live with our Planet and not just live on it.
