As a child I heard many things and believed, with a childs innocence and faith, the speeches and ideals of adults like John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Star Trek's unified diversity.
As an adult I am boggled as to why we are not at that level yet. Almost fifty years later we still have much work to do.
We have the technology, the wealth and resources to equalize the quality of life for everyone, equally. No one should go without. And everyone has something to contribute.
There should have been a moon base some 20 years ago. Our mars missions should have started there. Today our recent landings there should have been the first technicians creating a Mars base.
But, that's just my opinion . . . |
