Profile: Marie

Personal background
My name is Marie and I'm 31. When I was a child, I used to read Carl Sagan's Cosmos. I think it's where I fist read about radioastronomy. I remember that the question of if we are alone gave me entire nights without sleeping. And then came the questions of what "the others" could be made of...

Now, I'm a social worker but in my free time, I'm still interested in the sky, stars, planets, galaxies, expansion of universe and the question of the beginning of everything. I like watching stars and galaxies with my telescope and trying to figure out how far they are. The question of being alone or not made place of the questions of what we are made of and of what's around us.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm running SETI@home because it helps people ask question, imagine and dream.

I'm a bit scared about finding a signal. I'm also scared about finding nothing...

As my computer is not very powerful, I'd like to get more shorter tasks.
