| Personal background |
I am 79 years old and retired from the Detroit Edison company in 1986.
My background is in Electric power production. I was a System Supervisor at Edison, for over 16 years and before that an electronics technican in their Radio Lab. Also spent 4 years in substation work and later taught substation school for 3 years.
I have an associate degree in electrical engineering and Electronics.
I operate 22 computers at home.
My hobbies have been Amateur radio since 1949 (W8FWF is my callsign). While in the Air Force, I was in a B-29 squadron as a CW (code) radio operator, during the Berlin Airlift. Have worked on computers since 1985. I build all my own computers from scratch.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I have been in SETI since 2002.
I believe that there are other life forms out there in the universe. Our problem is finding a way to communicate with them. So far it looks like SETI is about the only way we have to do this.
I only hope I can contribute in some small way to the success of SETI. |
