| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I got involved with SetiAtHome when it first started. A couple of years later, my computer crapped out on me and, since I was very busy with several projects that didn't require a computer, it was two years before I replaced it. Quite frankly, SetiAtHome slipped my mind until I read the article about Jodie Foster donating money so it can continue. I kicked myself and started participating again.
I have always loved to go camping and, when I looked at the night sky, I often wondered when we would openly make first contact with whomever is out there. I keep hoping it will be soon but . . . |
