Personal background
Not really that much to tell, I am 49, divorced with too many kids, most of which are hoping their dad finds ET first. I live 'in sin' on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia which used to be an area known for the newly wed or nearly dead, unfortunately this has changed a bit lately, to many people now living here. I run a small video production business and shoot TV for a national station in Australia. We have 3 persian cats, and 3 others of various breed, about 5 or 6 tanks of tropical and saltwater fish. I enjoy scuba diving, fishing (sad isnt it), etc. I do get the chance for a fair bit of domestic and international travel with work which is kind of a buzz -it gets me away from the misses and kids.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrail life exists? Kind of small minded if anyone thinks we are the only living thing about. If they disagree just ask them, "Where does the universe end" That usually gives most people a head ache just thinking about it. Of course there is other life forms around. I would love to be around when we have our first encounter. I think it will be a race very similar to ourselves, explorers, but obviously a bit more advanced, after all they did come to us, something we are not quite up to yet.

The transmission of beacons into outerspace should be continued - firstly it gives us hope that someone will contact us eventually, secondly, it will also give them something to aim for, otherwise this little blue planet, 3rd from the sun just might get overlooked.

Running setathome on a 24/7 basis, gives me hope that in my own tiny little way I am helping the greater good. The project is great, a bit more sponsorship money would be nice.

Suggestions for increasing sponsorship, well I think you guys have probably looked at everything, but what about a chocalate drive, or brownies?

Seriously, if you want to make money in Australia, buy a bank, they seem to be making heaps.

Keep up they good work . . . . . .
