Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that e.t. life probably exists. God created the universe. Why would he only put life in one tiny little part of it?
I also think it would be cool to find habitable planets so we could ease the overcrowding in some parts of our world and I think finding habitable planets would give our space program the push it needs.
I run seti because we need to find out if there is any extraterrestrial life nearby or not and to either prepare for attack or explore it if there is any. If there are sentients out there they could be very hostile. I think we should eventually transmit a beacon for others to find but not until we are equiped to defend the planet from any extraterrestrial attacks. And yes I realize we have been sending all sorts of radio waves into space for years with all of our technologies but I still dont think we should purposefully try to anounce our presence to the entire galaxy just yet.
