Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I remember SETI@home from the "old days" when we were still using a 56k modem to access the internet and my father was running this program on his old Windows98 PC. Now, 10 years later, I came across SETI@home again while doing some research about peer-2-peer networks. Through this article by David Anderson I felt the old fascination about this project again, and so five minutes later I installed the program on my computer. It is so amazing that this project is still up and running after more than a decade, and even got developed further! |
