Personal background
I live in Missouri and have been running BOINC since 1998 or 1999. I lost track of Seti when I moved from Montana to here, but finally got it running again and have enjoyed being a part of this valuable project.
The project is an important one as we face the new era and am confident that, eventually some kind of contact will be made through Seti research.
The only suggestions I have is to start college right out of High School, do not wait until you are over 55. Get it done early! I am currently thinking about my Masters Degree in business and graduated my Bachelors Degree on the Deans List, and a lifetime member of Delta MU Delta. If you are in Chicago at Navy Pier on 2 August 2014 at 9 AM come watch us graduate!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think Seti@home is a great idea and it does not hurt to send signals to search for others in our universe. We may be getting signals back but our intelligence may not be powerful enough to decipher them yet. If we get a strong one some day, maybe we can use it to start the communication flowing.
The only suggestion I have is to keep going!
