Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life exists, and we will find it when they want us to. Who knows how that discovery will effect life as we know it. We can only speculate. I run SETI@home on my linux box almost all of the time... I usually kill it when I'm trying to do any processor-intensive stuff, but it restarts itself every 4 hours via cron (in case I forget).

I think it's a good project, and very interesting technology. My only suggestions would be to try to make it more widely known... lots of computers out there that sit around doing nothing all day... might as well put them to use (get your money out of that processor!).
