| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Yes, extraterristrial life exists. We can't be the only life out there. As for the benefits or dangers, that is going to depend on the ones that find us first. We will be warmly welcomed or destroyed without a second thought.
2. Yes, we should transmit a beacon. As for what we should transmit, anything as long as a politician doesn't get a say in it.
3. I run SETI@home because I like to watch it work on the computer. As for the project, I think it is a great idea. Not only may we find extraterrestrial life one day, but it may also lend to advancements in other fields. Keep up the good work, that is about the only suggestion I can offer right at this moment. |
