Personal background
I have always been interested in the night sky and what lays beyond our reach in space. My biggest regret is that i never studied astronomy as i specialised in physics at school and had a head full of dreams and wonder that i would one day work for Nasa. I got hooked on the sky at an early age having seen the aurora borealis and being taken to a few large telescopes on night watches. Needless to say i eventually went on to study biology based subjects at the University of York and never acheived my dream. I have been lucky enough to observe the Milky Way whilst on the equator, however and i will always look to the sky in wonder.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because if you don't look you don't find. I would rather say i tried than pour scorn on those who do try.
