Personal background
from london ontario canada, recently retired as CEO of ASI (AirServ International) a US based charity providing small aircraft (bush) to the humanitarian commumity in all parts of the world where mankind is suffering from natural or man made disasters (Chad, Iraq, Afganistan, Congo (DRC), etc) I spent a month this summer RVìng through newfoundland,then at a beach front cottage on lake Huron with my kids and grand kids and finally sailing in the north channel of lake Huron--absolutely beautiful. hobbies are sailing, walking my dog and flying on ytje internet with a world wide group of real characters (Mission Operations Group)--I am an elecrical engineer by degree and an MBA graduate--My father in law was dean of astronomy at the university of toronto which explains my interest in the universe and hence SETI--I am 72 years of age and now retired--almost all my working years where in aviation starting as a pilot in the navy and ending with the sale of my airline to Air Canada. I am divorced and live alone with my faithful friend Barney my dog.---They are out there somewhere but time and distance will make it difficult to prove givern the vastness of the universe not withstanding the speed of light
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
look for stars approximately the age of our sun plus say 1000 years and close to the size of our sun and pick the ones closest to us
