Profile: Grant Family

Personal background
We are a young and upcoming family living in Melbourne, Australia. We heard about SETI@Home on the Discovery Channel and once we had watched the article, I proceeded to D/Load the software off your site.
We find the whole concept intriguing to say the least. We are looking forward to developing internet relationships with all of the SETI Community. Glad to be aboard.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, we believe there is something out there..

2. A Human beacon transmitted for others to find is a great idea. Any sengient being to hear the signal, would surely interpret it as intelligent, and hopefully, respond to it.

3. We run SETI@Home for a chance to be involved in the whole project. Also, our PC is often sitting idle when unused and thus SETI gives it an alternate purpose to a screensaver running.

The SETI@HOME Project is fascinating and deserves to be successful. The Grant Family wish it all the best accordingly.
