1. I hope so, but of course I don't know when or if we'll ever discover extraterrestrial life. My biggest expectation is that extraterrestrial life in any kind, if it exists, might help us understand who we are and what we are, but most importan of all; _WHY_ we are.
2. Absolutely. A beacon should contain general information about planet Earth, its history, location and inhabitants.
3. Because my computer isn't doing a lot when I'm not around anyway. I see no harm in helping the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.
