I am 19 years old. I'm from Pontbriand (a little city in Quebec province) I study computers in Quebec city (Canada). | Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I think that seti at home is a very intelligent concept. Because first i really think that there is other kind or resembling kinds of life in the universe. Take for example the mars planet where people find bacteriologicals fossils. Because of the big size of the universe i think that no other planet developpement is an impossible thing. But the question i ask to myself is : are they communicating? If yes, are their technologies older, better or just very different than our own way to communicate. If there is a chance to know it i think that seti at home is a very good way to discover incoming informations from other planets. An other thing i'm almost sure of is that if something is discover it will not be told to public. But if it can make advance the science i think that is important to enlarge the hummanity knowledge.
I run seti at home every day on 3 computers now.

and my brother Amd athlon thunderbird 1000Mhz
And for those who laugh about finding "green little extraterrestrial" make it run the night on a AMD processor to heat your bed room ;o) and help the science to advance it really works, trust me. |
