I'm 30, I was born in belgium and now I'm having a great time in Montreal.
I am a programmer. But sometimes, I have to forget all about computers so I play the bass and I like taking pictures of people (especially when they're playing music...)

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Extraterrestrial life may exist. But then what form will it take? Will it be a planet (read Solaris from Stanislaw Lem)? Will we be able to communicate with them? Will they be (very) kind with us (Imagine, they might say : "You humans are only slaves from now on... I don't think I would like to meet them!).
But I think that if we prove their existence, we might not be able to communicate with them until a long long time: light travel might not be ready until then.
So I will look, from time to time, into those fluctuating seti@home diagrams, , and never really understand what they mean... maybe some kind of message from outer space. |
