Personal background
This is Geno (Eugene C. Bravo) (genoecb formerly geno) I am 65 years old and have been an aerospace wonk since 1950. Formerly I was president and range safety officer of The Antelope Valley Rocket Society with a launch site at the south end of Rosamond Dry Lake at Edwards AFB.
I have designed and built a solid propellant rocket my own design which reached an altitude of 10,000 ft. I am a Computer/Aerospace Systems Architect starting with mainframe computers in the 60's moving to the current microprocessor based rack/slice systems currently in use.
In the 70's I built a radio-telescope composed of six discarded commercial satellite antennas with receiver nodes of my own design (based on an article in the 'Communications of the ARRL')operating in the 21 centimeter band, controlled by a MITS 8800 microcomputer which I built my self in the 70's.
Currently I am building a supercomputer of my own design based on a suggestion from Robert A. Heinlein (of 'Stranger in A Strange Land' fame), with about 10,000 elements using Intel Dual Quad processors as the high level control elements and PIC microprocessors at the lower end.
I am also currently in the process of creating a 501(3)(c) organization the 'Lunar Conquest Group'(i.e. a not for profit grass roots company) for the purpose of competing in the 'Google Lunar X-prize' final phase. Any one who wishes to contribute either time and expertise or a minimum of $25.00 U.S. will be entitled to a minimum on half hour control of the rover thru the 'World Wide Web'(after it has completed all qualification activities). I should have a Web Site up sometime in DEC. 2010 to April. 2011. In the meantime I may be reached at genoecbg@gmail.com.
I build fast cars and have held the World Land Speed record for Class D Modified.
I am into hiking and camping. I live in the Mojave Desert 75 miles North of L.A., come see the poppies this spring ...
I read lots of Science Fiction, Manga/Anime, and love BSG, Caprica. And may some times be found playing StarCraft at night on line.
I am into Da Blues, electronic/ambient/hard rock and Jazz and Fusion. I play a 1962 Hondo electric guitar and can be found mashing up synthesizer tracks in my home studio very late at night.
I sometimes work with The Mars Society and attend SiFi conventions,AIAA and IAU conventions, and Burning Man.

God Speed to us all!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
0. As Sun RA once said "Space is the Place"

1. I run SETI@home, because I am convinced intelligent life is out there, and this is one of the best ways to find it. I am also a big fan of Carl Sagan's.

2. The project is behind, I would love to see more people around the world participate; I would especially like to see more businesses and schools devote their spare processing time to SETI and the other worthy causes that BIONIC supports!

3. I would like to see SETI@home use faster Web Communication tools (ie. WWW/HTML Version 2), more effectively.
