Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home:
I always wanted to contribute to SETI but I never knew how, after a recent visit to my local Planetarium I was introduced to SETI@home. As soon as I got home I jumped on my P.C and download SETI@home straight away. I love being able to not only contribute to the astronomical community but the human race as a whole.
What are my views about the project:
I think that search for extra-terrestrial intelligence is import to terrestrial life because a discovery such as this would change our whole world view of the universe and further expand the our understanding of our wonderful reality
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
