Hi,
I am Susan from the U.S., I just became a member yesterday of the seti@home!
I live in southeastern Wisconsin. I am a mother of three children, two are grown and out of the house and my baby is 13. I own two cats who are like my babies too! I have always been interested in space and space exploration, if I could live my life over, I really would have loved to be an astronaut or scientist on a mission in space! But - that is not so, that's ok - I love my life! Anyways, this is my way of getting out there, where no man has gone before!! lol I am happy to be a participant in this project. And by the way, any nice looking single men out there??? lol ;) |

Well, like I said before, I run seti@home to do my part and be part of something I believe in. I think this is a good project and wish I would have found out about it sooner. I definitely think that we should be transmitting a beacon, but then again thinking about that, aren't we already - with all the radio transmissions and dish network tv stations, etc.? I suppose a dedicated beacon would be much stronger though, its going to have to be awful "LOUD" or whatever to get through all of our noise we have already!
I do believe that extraterrestrial life exists, it only makes common sense to believe that, - otherwise, "its an awful lot of wasted space out there" - from Contact, the movie. |
