Inspired by a recent episode of PBS' Nova ScienceNow.
Glad to help both SETI@home and the Georgia Tech team.
It's been fun, but I'm going to have to take a hiatus from this and other BOINC projects. Our last electric bill was at an all time high, and I calculate that almost $72 of it was due to BOINC projects. That's the cost of running the PCs, plus the air conditioning needed to reject the heat thereby added to the house.
I'll resume work this winter when the heat being generated will slightly offset our natural gas bill. Adios until then ... |
