Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I have faith in the fact that we aren't alone in the vast expanse that is the known Universe. I run SETI@home so I can contribute to something that I have always wondered "Are we alone and where are they".
2. SETI@home gives me and countless others the opportunity to help crunch data to hopefully find the proverbial grain of sugar on a sandy beach... I feel like more people should be interested in finding out if other life exists or if in fact we are alone.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
