Personal background |
Well, I'm a 50 year old Medical IT guy and I oversee the maintenance and transfer of radiology images, at night, from hospitals around the country to our facilities here in suburban Baltimore. My son and daughter are both grown (Yay!!!) and I'm about to marry for the second and last time. My hobbies are building PCs, mild overclocking and jacking around with Linux since early '93. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. Why? Just contributing to something I believe in...
2. Ya gotta understand...I was 8 years old when the 1st Star Trek episode aired and I've been thinking about exobiologies ever since. SETI@Home was a no-brainer for me. It's an easy way to help search the modes of communication we're familiar with. Luv it...
3. I know it might be down the pipe a away but search other possible comm modes? Modulated spectral results from chemical compositions? Quantum-level manipulations? I guess we should really think out-of-the-box since the possibilities border on the infinite. Keep rockin those CPUs folks... |
