| I am 37 years old, and am originally from Clearwater, FL. I now live in a suburb of Dallas, TX, where I currently work at a major mortgage company. I am interested in the IT industry. My hobbies are golf, hunting, fishing, and sports memorabelia. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
| You would really have to be crazy to think that there is NOT life out there. As many strange and wonderful things we (humankind) has discovered through the use of technology, there is bound to be some forms of life out there. Yes we should be transmitting a beacon of some sort in case there is a more intelligent form of life that is also searching. The technology they might use could be far better than ours and they might find us a lot faster than we could find them. I run SETI@home because I have always had a passion for the stars, space and exploration. I know we will probably never visit any place outside our own solar system in my lifetime, so this is the best way I can contribute to the exploration. |
